What is ATD?

Awaken the Dawn 2013 is about a Jesus movement.
 
Our highest goal is to encounter Christ Jesus. His presence satisfies the deepest cravings of the human heart. We are not following movements.  We are following a Man. He has our allegiance.  Jesus, the Bridegroom, King, and Judge is leading the parade of history - and we live in the most exciting and challenging of times. 

This gathering is a convergence of prayer and missions.  It is a marriage of streams. 

We are gathering to contend for a third great awakening in America leading to the completion of the great commission in the nations. We are committed to transformation in cities, campuses, and congregations through the strategic marriage of prayer, mission, and justice. On the last day of this event, we will gather for contending prayer and worship in the spirit of Joel 2 followed by an all-out blitz of the DC region as we preach the simple gospel! 

There are four primary mandates of Awaken the Dawn:
  • The worship movement - intimacy with Jesus, presence of God, creativity, and the first commandment.
  • Contending prayer.
  • Supernatural ministry.
  • Mission and acts of justice unto the completion of the Great Commission.
